Battery or Low Voltage - This warning lamp indicates that your electrical system is not generating power or maintaining enough power for your vehicle. The may mean a bad battery or defective part in your electric generating system. Turn off all accessories, radio, air conditioning, etc. and get to a service center ASAP. You have sometimes only a few minutes of reserve power before your vehicle will stop running. A “Battery” warning light does not necessarily mean you need a new battery. You may need a different electrical component replaced and require only a battery charged. Have the electrical system diagnosed before spending money on unneeded components.
